Not having adequate oil in your body is not a boon and so is the excess of it. I have a pretty oily scalp which leads to me having oily hair even the same day as I use shampoo. I am surprised as how active my sebaceous glands are to get me such a hair for over last decades, looks funny but it ain’t. You can ask any girl who goes through this trouble on daily basis so here are a few home remedies to treat oily scalp which should help you like it has helped me with a little practice.
Home remedies to treat Oily Scalp
All you have to do is massage your regular Talcum Powder on your scalp for a few minutes and leave it to rest. You can wash it off after 10 – 15 minutes to get best results. You can repeat this fortnightly to keep your scalp clean and dry (pun intended).
Aloe Vera can work wonders for your skin in every form. You can take out fresh Aloe Vera Gel and a few drops of lemon juice and mix it in your shampoo before washing. You can even make this mixture and store it for a few days in your refrigerator.
With such oily hair you might have to stay away from hair styling products, majorly conditioners. I do not use a conditioner unless it becomes a dire need because otherwise I will not get that fresh shampoo feel even for a few hours. After using curlers and straighteners also you will notice an increase in oil.
Diluted Beer works very well for your hair, you can use diluted beer to rinse your hair after a hearty wash with the shampoo. Beer has excellent properties to make your hair soft and remove excessive oil from your scalp.
