Oriflame Very me Cherry My Cheeks – Sweet Coral Review

Rose quartz is the Pantone shade of this year and this Oriflame very me Cherry My Cheeks – Sweet Coral color seems to be the best pick in the blush on range. Though I don’t abide by the Pantone shades but once it is released out in the beauty circuit, you will see a lot of influence in the fashion weeks and make up.

Today I have picked up Oriflame very me Cherry My Cheeks – Sweet Coral blush for a review. I got this product for INR 355 for 2 gm.

The Oriflame very me Cherry My Cheeks – Sweet Coral comes in a plastic case very much like the MAC blush with a black outline. Though the package lets you see the color properly but it seems very fragile. The package is small and can be easily slipped into your bag.

When you open and take swatch of the color you realize it is not one of those coral colors that you don’t like but the softest rose quartz which will go very well with your skin. We Indians have an obsession with pink blushes and it definitely should be a part of your kit.

It is soft and powdery but ain’t creamy. The good thing is that it blends very well with your skin and doesn’t show on your cheeks. What I didn’t like was the powder getting scattered after travelling. This is something I have also seen in lakme pallets that it gets powdery.

It stays for about five hours on my cheeks when I used it as a part of my complete make up.

  • I love the soft pink color
  • It blends easily
  • pocket friendly
  • travel friendly
  • texture
  • ease of application

  •  The powder getting scattered after travelling
  • no mirror

Diwali Inspiration from Sonam Kapoor in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo

Sonam Kapoor who has become a youth fashion icon of-late. Recently Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is catching a lot of attention majorly because of the look the directors have brought in. Coming from Rajshri the movie was sure to come with a lot of Indian family traditional drama and even the songs and the styling of the movie says so. The kind of clothes shown in the movie are far from our daily routine but the good part being we have a lot to take from it  for this festive season.

Sonam and Salman have come out in a total new avatar where we all have high expectations from them. Though I am pretty sure the movie will revolve around the 2000 era cliche but let us take a look for our diwali preps.

Sonam looks stunning in this look and here is all you need  to create one of your own looks like hers.

  • Base

Since it is diwali season round the corner I would recommend a base that is appropriate for normal to dry skin so you do not need and extra layer of cream for good results. Sonam kapoor shows a flawless radiance for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.

  • Eyes

You will just need a hint from the nude pallette to enhance your eyes but not so much on your face. I am very fond of nude eye colors because I feel it is capable of giving you your favorite looks for the day as well as the night. Read about Maybelline The Nudes Palette Review

  • Lips

The most essential part of any make up for diwali, I believe is a lip color. It can absolutely make or break your image and look. I have chosen my favorite from the color show range by Maybelline.

  • Hair

A hair straightener is all you need to make your rest in place, be it the centre parting or even if you want to flaunt a puff bun right in front you can straighten to get the perfect look.

This is my diwali inspiration from sonam kapoor in Prem ratan dhan payo and I am sure you will have a good time creating this for yourself. Do leave in comments below how did you celebrate diwali.

How to Clean your make up Brushes

We are all very fond of make up and use our brushes with love but when it comes to cleaning, we all get lazy to clean them. You might get confused as to what products to use so here i have the solution to your problem-

You can do it in a few steps

  • Take some water in a bowl and put some shampoo in it till it shows some lather
  • Gently dip all your make up brushes and move them in a circular fashion in it so that it cleans well
  • Repeat till you feel it is cleaned
  • Then dip shampoo conditioner in another bowl in water
  • Gently clean your brushes again
  • Finally put some oil in a cotton swab and use it to make your brushes shine
  • If your brushes feel sticky you can repeat the steps
  • Dry them gently with a towel

Make this a monthly practice if you have high make up usage else you can give a time of 2 months.

Do tell me how your experience went.
