Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Mousse Foundation

Very recently Shraddha Kapoor did some rope dance to launch Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Mousse Foundation, the new product by Lakme. The event took place in a hotel in Mumbai where Shraddha Kapoor who is the brand ambassador for Lakme, performed a rope dance on the middle of the road. This was one of the kind launch of any beauty product in India. The idea was to feel ‘weightless’ and talk about the Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Mousse Foundation.

Quite impressed by the campaign and the ‘weightless’ feel I decided to try on this new Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Mousse Foundation. I got a tube for Rs 575.

It comes in a small cardboard package like other lakme products. It looks very similar to the Lakme CC cream in shape and size. The tube is easy to store and travel friendly. Since the tube is soft plastic you can always choose the amount of the product that you need to apply.

The texture of this Lakme 9 to 5 Weightless Mousse Foundation is amazingly smooth. It will almost glide on your skin as you want it. It gives you very light coverage for a foundation. Most of the foundations give you enough coverage to hide all your marks and blemishes but this one only makes your skin lighter. You will definitely need a concealer with this one. But this is one product that you can use daily like a moisturizer if you like the natural look of your skin. It stays for about 3 hours on my face and the best thing is its weightless quality. As the product promises you do feel that it is weightless and there is absolutely nothing on your skin.

Step 1: Apply Lakme 9to5 Weightless Foundation to clean, moisturized skin.
Step 2 : Just take a small amount of product with the index finger and start applying it to the skin with your fingertips. Usually, you can just apply the mousse in four places: the forehead, nose, chin and cheekbones.
Step 3: Blend into your skin starting from the centre of the skin outwards, taking care to cover your face including your neck.

It is easily available in four shades in the market –

  1. Rose Honey
  2. Rose Ivory
  3. Beige Vannile
  4. Beige Caramel

  • weightless
  • easily available
  • works well for fair skin tones

  • Less coverage
  • does not stay very long

Kareena could have easily done better, I like her dress but there should have been a more edgy hairdo, also to break the monotony of the golden color

Aditi Rao Hyadri is usually present at all events and I would say she is the woman who never holds back herself, she doesn’t hesitate to experiment new stuff. Kudos to her spirit though her dress could have been better

She looks like a vulnerable sweet star-kid, I like her simple yet stylish look. Though she could have chosen a brighter blue to make it more catchy.

I think she could not have looked better, her lip color and hair everything just looks perfect on her. Despite being plump she pulls of a stylish look with ease
